Thanks again Marty, it's as I thought. Did it really take a half hour to spool one up?

They were quite quick to get the rotors turning as they don't need ground power.
The uploading of Ammunition could take some time depending on the weapon loads as each station needed testing for any electrical current. When we I was in Afghan the cabs would always be loaded and if they fired anything we would reload straight away for the next shout. On a good day we could get a cab launched in under 10 mins.

Thanks Marty. I had bad info. Couldn't imagine a QRF element taking 30 mins. to get off the ground.

I'm calling the pair done, finally. I may do a little weathering before posting to 'Completed'.

Initial idea was a dio of Jugroom Fort rescue, but have given it up as figs & dust too tough.

Hi Paul,

Amazing build, especially of that scale. Would a hobby magnifier lamp helps in your case?

Thank you for your support gentlemen.
Have had a magnifier lamp for years but seldom use it. Mainly for fig. kit & painting. Those Preiser WWII Germans come w/lots of kit to attach, up to 16 parts..

A splendid result Paul. One of these (but somewhat bigger) flew over my house yesterday.

I'll do a 'D' with the unbroken rotor assy., & leave the repaired one an 'A' as it is very fragile.

Paul, that was my first regiment one of the pilots became my officer commanding. You would have to make them into D models with the fact on the top aswell.

Great book on attempted rescue. Too much dust to model & the Royal Marine figs. would be tough as well so made one each A&D w/USArmy decals.
