Julies home and safe

Hi Bob
Not the best news but you have both got to go with what the consultant says. My thoughts are with you both.
Jim

The consultant said its successful, about 90% and thank god the hair does not fall out.

That’s rough Bob. Hope you get better news soon. Thinking of you all.

Best wishes and thinking of you both Bob and Julie

My best wishes for a full recovery. I know it's a force draining moment but be strong and everything will turn out well.

Yet again I have to thank you lovely people, its so much appreciated.;)

Julies cousin is a theatre nurse and also her dad went through radiotherapy so she was able to take Julie through the process and her dad's experience so thats helped a lot. Just got to wait now for a appointment. The specialist hospital in Velindre Cardiff has a very good reputation for its work and care.

I once set the radiation alarm off at Velindre. I'd been doing some work with the technicians there, wearing a very old Rolex I'd inherited, and the luminous dial had enough radioactivity to set off the alarm that was intended to stop people with radioactive implants from leaving the hospital. This was in the late 1960s, I don't think they restrict patients' movements now.

So sorry to read this Bob.

I've been away a fair time, so missed all that has gone before.

My very best wishes to you and your lady. My prayers are with you both......

Ron

Hoping & praying that the treatment works & Julie makes a full recovery, best wishes to you both.

A update folks, a consultant phoned yesterday at 9 20pm, should have been before 6pm! She has to go through 23 radiotherapy treatments, 15 mins each.

Every day for just over a month, not weekends, yippee! At least her hair will be ok.

Great news Bob!!! I truly hope all goes well and Julie finally gets rid of the crap, permanently....my thoughts are with you both and I hope it's all good for Julie in the end.....Chin up my friend.........
