Was eating dinner in the local sports bar & they had a superbike race on TV. I watched the whole thing. Watching Josh Herrin make winning look like a cruise through the park on a nice day. Took a comfy lead from the start & was never seriously challenged. Question for those bikers on the forum: Does the Ducati V2 have that much advantage or was it all rider?

The Ducati motor has a very wide torque band giving loots of power from the bottom to the top and does it smoothly.

you need to watch some MotoGP

in a straight line the only thing thats going to keep up is another ducati

Avid fan and tracks make a big difference, but any with a lot of straight track Ducatti has a great advantage twisty tracks yamaha, world super bikes is worth a watch top 3 at the moment every race nose to nose action kawaski yamaha ducatti so entertaining watching these guys race flat out looking for any opertunity or slight mistake to take the lead. Bsb is just as tight but mainly yamaha fighting at the front team mates if you can eurosports has great coverage & about £6 amonth its my sunday religion… bt or moto gp.com for the top class but can be costly, the smaller classes are also fantastic fun really tight racing across all 3 fields

Dayton, Ohio currently. This was our 16th move & hopefully our last. Mostly big cities, but a 6 year stint in Cambridge, Ohio (very close to "Appalacha") made us appreciate small town living, so Dayton was a nice compromise. Close enough to the freeway to hear the crotch rockets getting off to work. Amazing how loud they get at the top of their RPM range.

I'll bet there was plenty of thunder in the glen. A lot of "potato, potato" also.

We used to say "if it fired at every other lamp post then it was a proper bike",(in those days we had Triumphs in mind ;) ) ....

I saw them all out and about today too. Loads of bikes coming through my village on their way there

I remember an old buddy had a 500cc Trumpet one lunger that was a lot of fun. "More fun to drive a slow bike fast than a fast bike slow".

Used to watch one of these in 62 come down the road and then take a sharp corner , the sound was something else . 62BSA-GoldStarEuro-R.jpg
