AN HERE a shot

an some shots of it in its folded postion to stop it gettin damageded while in transport to the pond an i havnt yet built the carry cradles yet so she can be carried easy as that will be done in about a yrs time 
An the crane will swiffel to left an right over the ships side but not up or down as if it does it may drop down onto the deck motor launches of which there will be 3 or more an cause damage as this crane jib is made from brass an is fairly heavy 
An here the finished crane in its folded an stowed postion all ready to go to pond when she does eventually go but still a lot to be fitted on yet

G/M Steve cheers for your remarks an yes the photo shows quite a lot of detail that i have still yet to fit on my tiger phew will i ever fininsh it AN WHILE i think abut this pic when they lift the seaking where will they put it as there is no room on the deck here as its covered over with ships motor launches ?

HI Garry cheers on that an yes im pleased to say that the crane is finished as its been a lot of very enjoyable work an i wish like Rick ( mini me ) said it would be nice to have it workin but to have it workin there would be to many functions an exspesive units like three servos an an one motorgearbox an exspensive ESC AN not to mention that it would take up 3 channells on the T/X so not really worth it AN you are lucky as there is no crane on I/D hows it comin on ?

About where the Sea King is going to be placed, I suppose there will be a pontoon, a smaller unit (a frigate?) with a landing deck or any other "low enough flattish floaty thing" (sorry for this too much technical term :smiling4: ) coming from somewhere and apt to receive the dripping chopper.

HI Andy :thinking: yes i think you would be right as these big cruisers would have a smaller ship with it in a battle group something like a type 12 leander class so yes i suppoce they would hold the chopper on the crane till a smaller an lower flight deck comes an then winch it on there for the chopper to be inspected an such well i never thought of that well i am gettin old im afraid an the ole brain ai'nt what it use to be lol :rolling: :smiling5: you Andy are certainly on the ball an cheers for your nice comments on the crane a lot of work there but it was worth it

CHEERS Andy yes im very pleased with it an to be able to say yes its finished has built up my mojo no end as i look at the plans an think garwd there is still no end of bits to fit on her (phew ) but im not gonna be beat i will finish her an sail her providein the ponds are still there lol
