1/72 HMS Iron Duke - Type 23 Frigate

They have come out well Gary , nice when you have to persevere and have success .
 
HI Garry well thats lookin more like it with the dark grey as all upper surfaces bar the gun turret are dark grey brilliant work my freind an still no bits from blighty ?

Yes the rest of the dark grey will happen in due course. No still nothing from the mailman.

Really lookin the dogs now Garry are you goin to do the detail lines on the flight deck as i used a permant black marker pen on my norfolk was a bit teduios but the finish looked good an worth doin an will the hanger bay door open ?

I find it amazing this is your first scratch build although that work bench look well used, give yourself a pat on the back m8 :smiling3:

YES Bri Garry has done super well as to get this far on my norfolk which is the same type of ship it took me 3 yrs but mind you that was with all the eletrics an details all fitted in an on

I will do that Brian, the workbench was used for my house rebuilt over 10 years, so has seen a lot of use, now it sees more sedate use.
Looking very good indeed.

Hope you will post more on this Garry , esp when it's actually in the water finished .
Nothing better than having the room to work in, esp where you can just leave it .

Hi Chris, unfortunately no bits have come yet, however there has been an update on tracking, that the parcel actually left the UK on 16th February. Now that is after it was posted on 16th December, and remember it was ordered in October!!!! Royal Mail strikes and cyber attacks certainly played havoc with my parcel.
I have however been cracking on with the electrics, and have managed to get motors, lights and rudders to work as they should.
Here are some pics that I tried to take in the dark last night, but my phone didn't take the best pics, but you'll get the idea.

WOW Garry you have been a busy boy wow them lights really make her an most important as they are really bright they will show in day light very well done Garry my freind this is gonna look a wonderfull model on the pond wowee

That looks really cool Garry, it certainly takes a project to another level when you add electronics
