You'll give submariners palpitations calling it a sub!! A sub is a long bread roll full of delicious fillings they will tell you but not necessarily in such a polite manner!!!
'Boat' is the correct term for a submarine!!!! Everything else is a 'target' to them!!
OH DEAR Doug dont want to upset them boat boys but if a submarine is a boat then what do i call them OTHER
floaty things that aernt ships TARGETS ? LOL
Chrisb

WELL Doug we learn something new every day dont we i'll have to remeber to call them skimmers then all 40 of them lol
chrisb
Stick a paint brush in one of their hands and you can call that one a 'dabber'!!! Educational building ships innit!!!!! :smiling5: :smiling5:

Well done on the crew (so far). If you have the full 100, just do them a few at a time.
A thing I have found with the shiny matt paint, and varnish, is that it often just needs a bloody good stir and shake to get the pigments up in the suspension.

THANKS Ian an yes i did give the matt paints a good stir up in the tinlets but i think its because they are over 20 yrs old an the matt in the paint has gone off but im not goin to do the hundred as my eyes get eye strain now an i dont want to push them eps the one with the new lence in so im stickin at the 40 crew members that ive done an to day i'll have a look through all my paint tinlets for a clear matt varnish to get rid of that shine HOPEFULLY but if i an'it got none then i'll just go with them on the ship as they will soon wheather out in the open air an i think they will look ok on the ship as there will be plenty of detail to distract from the figures how's that
ATB to you Sir

WHAT of crew figures Bri ? as ive seen them crew figures in 1/350 for my big enterprise so i know they do them but 1/200 figures ive not seen but most of these 1/200 kits are only just comin out so i would think if there are 1/350 then then the 1/200 will be bigger an it will set the ship off no end an jap sailors are easy to paint as from what ive seen on the real ship they just have white uniforms
Chrisb

Just seen 1/200 generic sailors but....£18 plus post for 30
