Ok then, I've done more,but here is what I'm prepared to release at the moment!!....
... Just trying to show my "details" on the cockpit.... it's actually quite tricky as there's not a lot to go on officially,a HUGE thanks to Allen for his help with pictures on this..
... even with the pics,I had to make a lot of it up as I went along...
.. now I'm particularly liking this... Yes,some of it is decals, however,a LOT of it isn't... my own Paint
..
The Navigator's station there, hardly ANYTHING to go on really so I've nicked slight bits I've glimpsed,....and made up the rest!!

It very much looks like that. The Tamiya instructions, though, look like their inspiration was light blue first with patches of grey violet (I never understood what that descriptor is supposed to mean, BTW) sprayed over it.
Not sure … if you want to go for the effect shown on the restored plane, then spraying the light lines afterward is going to be much simpler and look better with all the lines at the same width.

Anyway Andy, splendid work on the office. Any plans for the antenna array ? Or is the box supplied stuff ok ?

Haven't looked into the antenna gear yet,at first glance it seems a little too "chunky",so may need replacing.... we'll see later:thumb2:.

Si then, bench time,once again,has been sparse this week, but I have made some progress... The pilots took much longer than they should have,(should have just chucked in a few seat belts and be done with it!!:tongue-out2,the photos haven't been kind to them either,but here they are in their positions....
.... The fuselage has a few molded details,as far as I can tell,the colours should be fairly correct, although,once again it's dubious that you'll be able to see them anyway...
...and looking ahead.....
Wings and bits being persuaded to go together, and finally for this post,a delivery for even further down the line....
,so there you have it, once we get back from doing the month's shop this afternoon, I'll get 4 or 5 hours in,so hopefully it'll be closed up after that.
As always, thanks for looking in,and any thoughts, suggestions,or plain old abuse, most welcome

I don’t build a lot of 1:48 planes, but last time I did, afterward I felt replacing the cockpit with resin parts had been pretty much a waste of time and money because so little of it remained visible. What I’m trying to say is that the pilots in your model will almost certainly be fine for what will actually be seen of them

I've no idea about the colours but at least with bright ones there's more chance of seeing something in the cockpit once it's all buttoned up.

That's starting to look real good Mr. Smiff!!! Sorry to hear about your lack of bench time. So true, that when she's buttoned up, you won't see to much of the pit, but it's all in there Andy. Good luck with the masks too!!!...
