I'll look forward to seeing this. I'm old enough to remember the wonderful, ground breaking for the time, TV programmes. Such a shame that the Calypso herself is now a virtual hulk despite a few abortive efforts to restore her. I also liked John Denver's song "Calypso".
Which kit is it? Way back in 2014 I built the ancient Revell kit.


It turned out OK but I had only been building models for a year or two then. I have no doubt that your model will be far superior with your better kit and much higher level of skills and experience.

It's the billing boats kit 1/45 scale

The Billings kit. 1/45th scale will allow for a highly detailed big model.
I think that the real ship was converted from a mine sweeper.

I can remember the Revell kit but never seen one built up at any shows in the UK.
Probably quite a number of unbuilt kits languishing in stashes !
