CAN no one answer my qeustion about boxing day ?

, Boxing Day got its name when Queen Victoria was on the throne. In Victorian times, the wealthy would box up items they no longer needed to give to the poor. It was a day where servants would be given time off and thanked for their hard work with a 'special box' of treats.

That looks awesome Christopher, we did the whole turkey thing for Thanksgiving so red meat is always the pick for Christmas.
We had 18 for Christmas dinner! and that was just us......Mother and I plus kids and grand kids! and Colleen's mom or mum:smiling4:....she's 97!:flushed:
Two whole lamb rumps roasted in an outdoor shed over wood fired embers from about 7:am :hungry:

I gotta start taking pics of this kind of thing:confused: I'll see what the kids got on their phones and stuff.

Jim.

Made a bunch of it, gave a whole lot of it as take-away and still another days helping in the freezer left. That was damn hell of a cooking.
