I don't do boats,(OK guys... I know it's a SHIP, but couldn't help myself!!:tears-of-joy:), but that's a classic one... looks very cool indeed :thumb2:
Brian does boats!!! Not ships!! Ships only while they are on the surface!! Once sunk they become wannabe boats aka submarines!!!

Ordered these about a week and a half ago, and they already arrived yesterday — despite having to come from the UK — and I didn’t get charged import duties! Something went wrong somewhere …

Last 3 kits added to my stash, a 1/72 D-Day F15 from local Lakenheath, a 1/48th Mosquito and a 1/48th P47 duxford based with a jeep, thats it for now, The spitfire is well under way as is the FW TA152, will work through these for the next few months, not planning to buy any more kits for now, But you never know! :smiling:

Usual great service from John the spare part that was missing from the Apache box, and he 'persuaded' me to add some items so such a small part wouldnmt get lost on the post.IMG_6281.jpeg

An e.bay purchase.Made the ancient Tamiya Tiger i got for Christmas aged 13 in 1981.Think i.slapped a tin of Airfix grey enamel on it.I did start an Academy when they first came out but made a hash of it.So i fancied the look of this one.

But it will not see the light of day untill after June when I take my sabatical away from armour modelling... I have plenty of armour kits to keep me going and plenty of ideas, but after the Centurion Bridgelayer and now the M109 Doher build is finished I will need to re-charge my batteries, and what better way than to keep building but go for a different subject and reduce the growing stash in the aviation department.

Came across these in the nearly-local art supply store a while ago, and now finally got round to buying them. These are yellow and red that are supposed to actually cover well — the shop had a little display (clearly supplied by the manufacturer, though) showing all of the paints from this range on little squares of canvas that were about two-thirds white and one-third black. Most of the samples have the black showing through pretty obviously, but not these two (and a few others, but I need lemon yellow a lot less than a medium yellow :) ). I’ll have to try them out to see if they really work that well, though.
