Brian's 1/48 Dkm u-Boat Type Viic U-552

This monster is not A kit. it is lots of large kits that all fit together to make a huge one. One very interesting display when it is done.

Hi just bit and bobs to do but sort of finished the interior now on to the exterior  awful lot of drilling and masking.

Looking great. Is the conning tower a cut-away as well?

Brian, not wishing to be the bogie man on what is one superb build, but looking at the clear plastic, I wonder if both natural light and your great internal lighting will somehow reflect on the clear stuff and make viewing of the interior a bit obscure?

Heaven forbid you might have to think about cutting out sections of the clear hull and painting the remainder 'Hull Grey'

Just a passing thought.

Great work and loving every update.

That's very true. Amazed at the size of the thing in the "all joined together" photos.
Great progress as usual.
