Blow up dolly....
:thumb2: Yup, bang on Dave. KA 27. Big fan, (no pun intended), of the co-axial rotors. Used to get them buzzing the ship when in the Med. Surprised they were as big as they were.Helix?
Dave
SWMBO says an emphatic NO!!!!! She spoils all my fun!:smiling2:Blow up dolly....
That's when the plug comes out and it flies around the room knocking the ornaments of the shelves and upsets the ducks flying up the wall, then she has to stop the dog chasing it down the street....SWMBO says an emphatic NO!!!!! She spoils all my fun!:smiling2:
:thinking:WHAT have you tried it mike ?:tongue-out3::smiling::smiling::smiling:That's when the plug comes out and it flies around the room knocking the ornaments of the shelves and upsets the ducks flying up the wall, then she has to stop the dog chasing it down the street....
Back in the late 1960's it was one of those long hot summer evenings, love life was in the doldrums, so invested in one of these new 'toys'... Had to slip into the side entrance of the Surgical Supply shop with the blacked out windows, and there I met with the owner who handed over the box and a bottle of perfumed rubbing oil....:thinking:WHAT have you tried it mike ?:tongue-out3::smiling::smiling::smiling:

We've all said that at one time...As for stash's - never happen. I'm very comfortable with a short list of one.
Got a Zvezda 1/72 Helix 'B' in the stash - that's been reboxed by Italeri & Revell - nice looking model in the box, but some very delicate undercarriage & stores pylons....................:thumb2: Yup, bang on Dave. Thats what they all say :tongue-out3:Already committed Dave. Ordered and it's winging its way as I type from Germany. As for stash's - never happen. I'm very comfortable with a short list of one.
That may explain the aftermarket U/C in metal!!!!Got a Zvezda 1/72 Helix 'B' in the stash - that's been reboxed by Italeri & Revell - nice looking model in the box, but some very delicate undercarriage & stores pylons....................

 Blimey mike you had me in stiches at your post this really cheered me up as its bloomin raining here but i had a really good laugh at that im surprised no one elese has said anything lol:tongue-out3::smiling::smiling:Back in the late 1960's it was one of those long hot summer evenings, love life was in the doldrums, so invested in one of these new 'toys'... So there I was sitting in my string vest and baggy 'Y' fronts, patio doors wide open, fan going to move that hot air around the room... And proceeded to unpack the new toy. Spent 20 minutes with my head up its orifice, breathing in talcum powder and blowing like blazes, then with a pop! and a rustle! I had a full blown toy bobbing and bouncing in the room and down her front was a dog lead and around her neck was a collar.... Now the owner had said that I should open the bottle of scented rubbing oil and rub it all over for a smoother and better interaction, which I did, it was going everywhere all over the toy, all over me when disaster struck.... the plug came out and with a phraaaat around the room and out the patio doors it went..... I dashed down the stairs and out the front door to try to capture it, but as my hands were covered in perfumed rubbing oil I could get no grip and after chasing the toy down the road I realised i would never catch it and I had better get back in before someone saw me in my string vest and baggy 'Y' fronts......
But the story does not end there, for three weeks the police were trying to trace the relatives of the wrinkled old lady that had hung herself from a lamp post with a dog lead......
Too busy laughing Chris!i had a really good laugh at that im surprised no one elese has said anything lol:tongue-out3:
I'm too polite!!!!Too busy laughing Chris!

Expected Saturday. Although start time will be Sea King dependant. (End of March would be a pretty good estimate. Not in a rush - the one thing I have learnt is that when I rush into things they tend to go awry!!!!! I'll have a goodly amount of time to go over instructions, gather paints and anything else needed. As ever, it will fit in amongst everything else, pooch walking for one!!! Tea making and yaffling my way through home made buns and cake!!!!Right, let's get back to the serious stuff...
So when will the new build arrive (that sounds so much like the expectant father), will there be any aftermarket to go with it???
Seat in first place already.
Look forward to seeing it, and if it is as good as your SK, then we are in for a treat.Expected Saturday. Although start time will be Sea King dependant. I think a few AM parts may appear. From what I hear and read, the undercarriage as Dave intimated is a weak point.
Seat reserved!!
Too kind Mike. As we are own worst critic I'm not too happy with the SK. I have made a few 'adjustments' to seats to ensure they fit. I made them too wide but got around it. As the Helix is the Sea Kingski of the old Soviet Navy it'll be a good counter for the SK. The kit doesn't include the dipping sonar so internally it should be easier!! (He said with crossed fingers).Look forward to seeing it, and if it is as good as your SK, then we are in for a treat.
