WOW! Thanks so much folks. I'm just having a little trouble with this new toy and it has Windows11 on it. The keyboard is smaller and harder to use than my old one. Ain't easy with the sausage fingers...

Thanks Boss! I see you have been slacking on the lawn mowing and great pics of your place. Rider fixed yet?

Yeah Bro, the news was a hammer and unexpected. I'll pass them on to Holger. So you've gone modern, eh Paul?

Thanks Jim, Jimbo, Jigs (choose one)! Love your finished Balloon car Sir, But...........

Thanks Paul and I love the dozer's on the flatbeds my friend...

Much appreciated Ron. Sorry I missed the finish of the church. So much to ketchup on...

Thanks too Noah Garry! You building the Lanc in the new cave? I bet you have the heater running too Buddy...

Nah Dave, just an old git trying to get on with reducing the stash and not building it back up...

Thanks Doug! I've been following your whoop whoop and it's great to see you've mastered the scratchy end of the hobby too...

Thanks Buddy! And I hope to stay in it for a long while. Gotta ketchup with your Little People, aka Lawn Ornaments too...

Thank you Geoff! Just leave the door open a crack in case someone breaks wind, Ok...

Thanks my friend and so sorry to hear about your situation too...

Thanks too Andrea! Good to be back and happy to see you are getting some bench time. Has retirement sunk in yet?

Thanks Steve! Just wondering if you still need pics of the radio truck interior, or have you canned that build?

Yes Mr. Smiff, a bad day in Devon it is and yes, I'm back for the attack! Even Cohan can't help you Andy. He's too busy at the table doing what you are supposed to be doing, building your kits...

Thanks a lot Chris! I haven't been far, but without comms, it's tough to post. We have to have a talk about Tiger too, my friend...

Thanks again for all the support. That what makes this forum so great. On to the ketchup, but I don't even know where to start. I guess from the top and work my way down.....

"Easy Killa", That's old skool Neil!!!...Glad I don't have any grandmonsters yet, cause I probably wouldn't understand a word they say. Does it have a particular meaning, or is it another word for "Old Dude"??? Hope you and Ginger are well...

No prob Steve, as soon as I get them off the other laptop, I'll PM them to you. It could be tomorrow if my kid gets a chance to come over...

Thanks Lee and it's great to see you getting back to the bench too. Love the sheep and the baby chicks, so I bet it keeps you kinda busy my friend...

So good to see you back online Allen , you have been missed . Sorry to hear about the rubbish stuff lifes been chucking at you lately but good to hear youve kept your chin up and with the help of modern technology are back in the game ! Cheers tony

Thanks and sorry I missed you there much Olderthanme,

We only had flooding in Downtown Bamberg on one of the RR bridge underpasses. Some knucklehead tried to drive through it and got stranded in a yellow Golf. I guess he swam away to higher ground. His Golf ended up sideways in the underpass. With my friend's son, it was unexpected as he was doing much better and then, bam...

That's the plan with other HD, but my son will remove Windows 10 from the HD first. Then it will become my new external and the old laptop will be recycled to the dump. This new one is an Acer like in your pic Mike. It's an Aspire 3, but doesn't have a CD Rom in it. Guess I'll get an external one for it...

Good luck with the Nursie and keep you hands to yourself Buddy. Oh, and crack on with that Dough thingy your building too...

Good to hear from you Youngerthanme...
Yep those Golf's have a lot of trouble swimming, I think it has to do with the water coming in through the air vents....

The ACER is in fact the spare monitor, my laptop is an HP running Win 10 with a program that makes it look like win7...

Just about to put up some progress pics of the Dough thing....

Thanks Tony and Mike and sorry for the late reply, but it didn't get any better lately either. It seems 2024 has been a really big :poop: year for a lot of our forum members, death and health wise...

We had an incredibly hard evening rainstorm and the basement where I live ended up flooded. A lot of my cold war relics got ruined along with many of my guitar books with my favorite songs in them. I had a big mess to clean up and stuff to throw out...

On the same evening, my son almost drown on his way home from work. The same underpass was flooded worse than the last time. He came down the hill and in the curve at the bottom, saw the water, tried to brake, and hydroplaned into the flood. The water was almost 2 meters deep and my son is not the best swimmer on the planet. Luckily, the fire department arrived on the scene at the same time. There was a lot of panic as there were 2 cars in the water and the people couldn't get out of them. The firemen got my son and his bike out and freed the people in the cars. Here's a pic of the scene, taken after the fact, and the water had receded quite a bit. My son was coming from the direction where the photographer is standing.

He was soaked to the bone, but okay. He thanked the firemen, hopped on his bike and went home to get dried out and warm...

So once again, I'll try and get back to doing what I do best.......Giving you lot a hard time and playing ketchup. I also have 2 GB's to get working on in the coming days. Should be a whole lot of fun...

I just want to say thank you all for your understanding and now we can put this thread to bed. Better times are coming and hopefully for everyone on here, as well. I think we've had enough crap for this year...

Welcome back Allen... didn't notice you gone! :flushed::hugging-face:;)

Thanks guys,

Lee, taxi called and you're on your way to a land far, far away Buddy...

Thanks Lee, I have tried to keep an eye on you hooligans though...

Paul, My Kid is tough and he survived ok. I have a huge collection of Fall of the Berlin Wall, Soviet and NVA uniforms, boots, hats, and everything in between. A lot of the uniforms and boots were in my size and fit to a T. It was only one big box that got soaked and not too much important stuff was damaged...
