Well at least you can depend on Mr. Black Bird.
He comes every time I go out into the garden Lee, follows me to the green house and back , It was lovely and sunny this morning when I took that, now it's raining !

Nice to see the blackbird so trusting. The blackbird and a nice cup of tea may go some way to relieve the stress from the kit and the phone

Wobble,
Good to see you back at the bench, the cheeseburger on Sunday was melt in the mouth....
Tracks - next time you get a set of rubber ones, instead of faffing around with c/a, hot irons, welding torches, hydraulic press - just use a stapler, one on each side and the join can be hidden under the track guard... and once painted, who will know...
Cheers
Wibble.

Your beating this into shape John, cracking job

Love mr blackbird, I have a robin who's allowing me to get closer. Beautiful up close, really red breast.

I quite like the idea of a welding torch. ;).Yes should have done that.
:disappointed:That I missed that.

Thanks Bob, I've just seen a post on FB( only go there to see what our youngest daughter 45 is up to) where a man was feeding a Robin in his kitchen .
My grandfather had a Robin come in the house in the winter and sit under the old style gas cooker.! There's hope for your bird yet .

We used to have a squirrel that would come in the house and steal nuts from a dish on the coffee table then bury them under the hearth rug.

Y'know, it's just undercoat, but somehow an all-black Valentine looks really, sinister...

I've yet to read anything good about an AFV kit - makes me think I won't bother.

Looking good JR despite the fun you're obviously having with it!

I know what you mean Chris.:thumb2:

Arnold I don't think there's any thing wrong with the kit to be fair, apart from the over population of the sprue with parts that could have been moulded on to bigger sections. The problem is me ! I do find seeing the instructions confusing, on any model kit, but have developed my own way , mud !

Big changes have taken place, ripping off removing one side of the lower section so it looks as if it's deeper in the water. Still might curve the front of the base as there's too much with nothing happening.
I was going to show this in the winter having gone through the ice, but decided to show it as a complete wreak in an old battle. This gives to chance to do rusting and floating plants along with some regrown vegetation.

Using XPS 50 mm foam is a was as you remove so much in producing the base, in future I'll buy 25mm and double up to give hight. Any way once hacked away it looked like the following photos

At this stage I painted the whole of the surface in PVA, mainly to seal the surface. Then came the light weight foam , spread over the complete model.

Realising I might curve that front I removed a lot of that in the bottom of the photo.

Now the Valentine, to those that can build I apologise, look away if you feel ill !

By removing the running gear and suspension you can make the tank appear as its in much deeper water, the last photo shows a hole, ! this is a shell mark which would have been the reason for the tank to end up in the water.

Well that's my idea, any comments good bad or indifferent welcome.

John.
