This just arrived. Wanted to try these sanders as I have great trouble getting moulding seams off parts, maybe this'll help. Also a pair of these friction clamps, been after them for some time as most clamps I find have too much pressure on them for fragile parts.

Ok chaps....so you had better sit down......

I think it goes without saying that we all agree that 1/72 is the one and only true modelling scale despite occasional dalliances with other scales we see on forums like this!

However, as you know, our very own Mod @AlanG has, over a number of years, been trying to corrupt me to dabble with larger scaled wingy things, eventually getting me to embrace 1/48 kits.

Well it seems he has finally corrupted me on getting something larger.*** As you may have seen, he is having a stash clear out and I found myself agreeing to take the below off his hands for a reasonable price.....

......that's right....

.....it's 1/32!!

And is it big or what!! I think I need to practice on some 1/48 wingy things before giving this a crack!

I also think I need to go and lie down to get over the shock of finally succumbing to his drip-drip-drip of comments on larger scale aircraft!

Ok, chaps....so a few more arrivals today, as below.

-----------------------------

First up some o-rings for the nozzle for my 0.2mm Tamiya Superfine AB - which is either a rebadged Iwata or at least shares many common parts.

The o-ring had got deformed and was getting squashed out flat as I put the nozzle back in and so creating a less that perfect seal. Trouble is Iwata only do seals with a nozzle - which is very expensive - and so some enterprising British company is doing their own compatible o-ring. You can get 8 o-rings for the price of one my nozzles, so I bought three.....as you can see below, the old nozzle was looking very squashed and I now get a perfect seal.

Not big are they?!?!

Old vs new

I am really liking Tamiya's 1/48 AFV range and found these for sale for what was already a very good price, with another 10% off on top if you signed up to the shop's newsletter.

The M8 Howitzer and M4A3E8 are actually a new thing for me. Whilst I have built plenty of US WW2 vehicles they have always been ones in British service e.g. Shermans and M5s (of both types), and so these are the first 'pure' US vehicles I have ever bought.

Trip to closest model shop....40 mins drive away.....all i wanted was some paint and some weathering powders.....ended up having a spending frenzy and got this lot too!

Bloodhound willbe for the missle GB......monkey bike simply cos i like them......T62 cos it was cheap!

Just thought.....if i want the T62 looking realistic it will need to be a burnt out hulk with the turret a scale 20 metres away :smiling6: :smiling6: :smiling6:

A fair weather cycling expedition that ended up being via the Sussex Model Centre who had received their delivery of the new Airfix Bf109 30 minutes earlier! Both kits look excellent mojo builds.IMG_5367.JPG

Hello, my name is Andreas and I am addicted to hoarding more model kits than I can ever build. ;)

This week I had to buy something from eBay again. An old Revell kit, a complete model and a resin conversion kit from Modelltrans and two magazines.

Andreas

Great haul!

Given that we have the same name (language variations accepted) and we have the same addiction to hoard "...more model kits than I can ever build.", I can only assume there is some sort of connection between the two.... ;) :smiling5: .....this is clearly worthy of much more study!!
