Mick’s Ducati 888 superbike racer Tamiya 1/12

Looks good mate. Nice only having two major panels, bikes tend to have 5 or more usually.
It has made it easier, the saddle on is a single piece while the front fairing is three but they went together in typical Tamiya fashion

Just had a catch up on this. It’s looking very nice indeed Mick. I‘ve only done a couple, but find assembling bike kits is very like building a real one…..

I seem to have missed a couple of updates Mick. Coming along nicely.
Thanks Andy, so many builds to try and keep up with

Thanks Tim, I used to watch orange county choppers so some bits of the build look familiar

I can almost see the chequered flag now. Glass parts to fit and tidy up the front where the decal sank into the two recesses, then paint the stand.

A big thanks to Bob for getting this GB going as I’ve never built a large scale bike before and it’s certainly been a steep learning curve. I have enjoyed it IMG_3398.jpegIMG_3399.jpeg

WOW Mick!!! Holiday certainly got the juices flowing my friend. Even with work going on afterwards, you've turned out a real winner!!! Now where's your helmet to take her for a ride???........

Thank you Allen, It would scare the poop out of me just sitting on one

Another run of shifts done and a stinking cold battled and now hopefully on the home stretch. Gear change pedal done, fairings in undercoat along with the seat pads. Front wheel assembly also complete.
Fabulous ... ! I can almost smell the slicks.....

Brilliant Mick , sorry I missed a great deal of this.
As snipit of interest there's a Ducati office at Wansford on the A1 in an old cafe now a listed building . Looks as good as the bikes .
