This is the largest of the three that I'll be attempting for this GB. A 1/32 would be a stretch within the time frame, even for me, but maybe later.

This is the scheme I'll be using for all 3 aircraft

Here are the sprue shots. Being the profipack it has some extra goodies, and plenty of spare canopies if I fluff one up!

That looks like a beautiful kit andy . If its anything like the 1/72 eduard spit i did a bit back it will be great . I reckon the fit and finish on these is on a par with the best Tamiya stuff and detail is probably better , looking forward to this one .

Thanks for popping in chaps.

I made a start on this today, building up the cockpit sides and whatever you call that bulkhead behind the seat.

I lost the very first piece of PE for the tanks which doesn't bode well 😂, so replaced it with some copper wire. As you see here though, it won't stay in place. My usual CA glue nemesis is back. I tried 3 different glues, with or without activator, applying glue to the plastic, the copper, or both, and still no luck.

It's staying off for now 😁

What a wonderfully well engineered kit!

Don't get me wrong, there are some small and fiddly pieces, but everything fits together perfectly and logically.

Starting with the seat, the flare rack (I think) is moulded into the plastic but it can be cut off and replaced with a PE version. Following old advice from Rivet Jones I made sure I could make the metal version before hacking the plastic one off 😂

Having managed that I put the control stick together from 3 plastic pieces and a tiny bit of etch, just visible at the top. I also added the seat sides and armour plate behind, of which there's a plastic version or the PE one seen here.

Several parts made up the cockpit floor and a number were added to the cockpit sides. There are still a few to add but they are either different colours, or pre-painted etch, so I figured it was time to splash some paint on.

As a side note there are 6 door options and of course I fitted the wrong one and had to change it part way through painting 🙃

Next up is the detail painting, adding the remaining parts, then fitting it all together.
