    Right, still here. Painted the front / rear superstructure in Kure grey ( Yamato). So not really accurate! One thing for improvement is dry fitting, slight gaps caused be PE not being a perfect fit. But end in sight and its finally coming together. Keep looking at the next build but...

    What do you do with waste sprue?

    Most go to recycle, long lengths i cut up into small lengths. I glue these inside superstructure and funnels etc. This allows me to attach crocodile clips to the sprue and spray without touching the plastic.

    Customs are very odd, bought kits and stuff from Japan, nothing. But a ship cradle from Taiwan hit by customs. Do wonder if its lucky dip sometimes. Also Never been hit by customs when buying from China? Bought the 1/200 yamato from France, nothing. But had a letter from the courier a week...

    Always used Tamiya, when in place i rub the edge down with a cotton bud. Then pull off gently close to the start. Never had a problem

    Great news John and do what the Dr says! When Julie was diagnosed, she had a call a day later from Velindre. Then the consultant rang two days later. The service and care was and continues to be first class. All the best for a swift recovery Bob julie
