I have been....... :D another 8 rows done .... to be precise. takes a bit of time ..... there is a bit of an undulation in the road .... probably a bit warping due to the balsa having been dampened with the PVA but I'm not too phased as these roads would have been a bit knackered. They...- toto

Hi Stefee, Glad it is of interest. Its all reasonably new to me as well. I used to dabble in railway modelling before now but all the skills are transferable. The cobbling process starts today and I also need to find a route into my bomb crator for some cabling before things go to far. ...- toto

OK ..... I'm on my last few casts for tonight. I have had them drying a bit quicker ...... with the aid of this ..... A little 2kW heater helps enormously and boosts the turn around .... a quick harvest .... and the " specials " tub is filling up. all sorts of experimental...- toto

and now ..... the plaster is starting to go off ..... we can scrape the excess plaster of the top with a wallpaper scraper ...... and repeat .... wash the moulds and prepare the next load .... 50 / 50 mix made ..... 30g plaster ..... 30ml water and a bit pigment ..... and we...- toto

OK ..... casting cobbles ........ Got some water for casting, soapy water for cleaning moulds and a dish of more water to get rid of leftover plaster ...... another ..... pigments, vibrating table and scales ..... first load of plaster and pigment poured into moulds ..... with plenty...- toto

OK ...... I've been waiting patiently for the balsa to dry out. In hindsight I could ( read that as should ) have cut the blast creator before applying PVA as the balsa wood will now be harder but never mind ..... no big deal. But .... give a man time and this is what happens ..... My mind got...- toto
