Book recommendations?
When I got into scale modeling again I bought "Adam's Armour 2: Modelling Guide (painting and finishing)", a very nice book with many painting techniques, he got other books on building models as well. not cheap but it covers a lot. -

No I never used that product Steve, does that work well with setting solutions or will it increase the risk of silvering? Cheers This week I added a satin varnish (vallejo) and started some weathering. I used acrylics (with a lot of thinner) to speed things up. Fuel spilled on the belly...- Steven000

Thanks Paul, Just a quick update, last week I added a gloss varnish (vallejo) and tried to add the remaining decals. This is the decal sheet from the kit - AeroMaster. I don't think I ever used AeroMaster decals before, but it was quite a pain to work with... They were extremely brittle and...- Steven000

The rise of Warhammer, et al, V "regular" traditional scale modelling?
I don't know much about the wargaming stuff, but it doesn't sound good for your local shop (from your perspective/interest). In the past I've seen a few wargaming shops on holidays, none of them had any type of other regular scalemodel kits (realistic models of any era). Will depend on the new...- Steven000
