    Skyline R34

All finished now. I definitely made some mistakes and there's room for improvement as always, but I'm happy with the outcome.

    Andy's 1/144 Spitfire Mk1a

Thanks guys. I'm hoping to make a start tomorrow, when hopefully one of its bigger brothers will have turned up.

    1/32 Revell 1956 Cadillac Eldorado

    Great job on the screen.

    Andy's 1/144 Spitfire Mk1a

This is the smallest of the three aircraft I'll be attempting to make for this GB, and also the first to arrive through the post: I'll include the obligatory sprue shot, although there isn't much to see 🥸 Freehanding the camo scheme might be a challenge 😁

Portman's Spitfire mk.II LR (Airfix 1/72 and 3D-kit Conv. set)

Long Range. Basically that carbuncle of a fuel tank in the wing.

What to do with completed models?

Similar. I have some display shelves but when they get full I throw the old ones out to make room, except for a few special ones.

Welcome to this Anniversary GB, 90 years of Spitfires.

Well, I'm now just waiting for deliveries. I like to stretch myself for GB's so taking an idea from another topic I've got a 1/48, 1/72, and a 1/144 on the way 😂 It took a while to locate suitable decals for the little 'uns to match the scheme I'd chosen for the 1/48, but hopefully I'll end...

Welcome to this Anniversary GB, 90 years of Spitfires.

Please do. And welcome. There aren't many rules as such, just make sure it's an unstarted kit, and post sprue shots before you begin. Oh, and enjoy 😁

    Getting the full set?

No, but you've given me an idea for the Spitfire GB. I have a 1/48 on its way. I'm sure I could squeeze a 1/72 and 1/144 in the time frame 🤔

At what point is your "stash" getting out of hand?

As I've said before in similar topics, I don't have a stash as I can't see the point. I buy kits because I want to build them (or rather, paint them) so if I had loads I'd have to rush through the pile to get them all done. I do have a couple that I've bought and lost interest in, but generally...

    Aoshima Toyota gt86

Wow, rare as rocking horse manure

    Aoshima Toyota gt86

Another one proceeding rapidly but it's good to see some in progress shots. As a big Toyota fan (I worked for them for many years) I lament the days when they made great sports cars. With this (a Subaru in disguise) and the Supra (a hard top BMW Z4) I feel they have lost their edge in this...

    Skyline R34

Thanks Bob. Reasonably priced too. I see they do a couple of variants so I might build another, maybe even something custom.

    Skyline R34

Thanks Joe I got the suspension built up this morning. I reckon there's more parts under here than the rest of the kit put together Which is then mostly hidden once the undertrays are fitted. These are supplied as clear parts though, if you wanted to display all that work

    Skyline R34

If I didn't have a whole range of stuff at work I'd probably give it a go 😁

    Skyline R34

Thanks Tony. It needs a bit of a polish but I don't seem to have any in the house! Bloomin typical 😂

    Skyline R34

Interior is now finished and ready to go in the chassis. I've also finished painting all the suspension bits & bobs so will hopefully find some time to nail it all together over the next few days.

    Messerschmitt Bf 109 G-2 1/24 (Completed)

    Very nice indeed.

First flight of the Spitfire 5th March 1936 - 90 years ago

10 is usually the minimum but the more, the merrier! As Paul says, dive in and have fun 😁
