I intend to make a small diorama at some point with an airstrip, small grassy area with the bird, a couple of ground crewmen readying this crate for a mission......oh and a jeep with the pilot talking to the driver. Well, I'm done with the decals and they ain't gonna get any better.......The gear is now on with gear doors and tires. Wing bands are on and I started some of the details......waiting for yellow bands to dry on the Gear doors. Broke the RH MLG strut off, AGAIN!! so when gear doors are dry I will reassemble the gear with the main mounts installed and gear doors in place, thus giving the errant Gear a three point...- Mini Me

The Red Tail is on!!.....and in the process I knocked the right MLG loose so it is glued back in place and that is why this bird is flying sideways at the present. Hope it holds up. I used a mix of flat and gloss red to achieve a semi gloss finish....I think it has just the right sheen to it...- Mini Me

After getting "Whizzzzzzzed" past by Mr. 570, I figgered I better quit with the outside chores for a bit and get some black Alclad base on this before it "fossilizes" into some sort of petrified whatever......so, black on!! Getting ready for Winter....
I've been working off and on all Summer long cutting, splitting and stacking.....once full the woodshed holds about a 2 year supply. a good chain saw and a 24 ton splitter makes short work of it but my back won't get over it till Spring! Just replaced the floor and side boards on the... -

Slow as Mole-Asses on this but making progress.....I found more ugly seams to fill around the lower nose and managed to drill out the wing MG's. final weathering done in cockpit, clear coated it and decaled the seatbelts in place. More finite progress........the horizontal stabs. are now in place as well as the "cooler" intake....both the nose intake and cooler required drilling out as they were molded shut and looked as phony as a 3 dollar bill. also got the waste gate installed. Managed to get all of the fuselage put together and filled and sanded. As most of you know, I'm also going for the bare aluminum look so can't have any exposed seams. Wings are now assembled and glued in place.- Mini Me

WWII Motorbike Identification
First shot shows a 1941 Indian S-41 partial restoration, the second is an H.D. WLA from the rear with the Indian on the right. Sorry for the lousy pics, The Museum put up a fence cos people can't read signs and control their kids, to keep them from climbing on the exhibits.- Mini Me

Not much progress on this......scratched a instrument panel and stick decaled panel and temp fitted it all to see how things will go together. painted prop tips will mask and spray the blades when tips are dry. That's all for now.- Mini Me
