    This was Lily who passed away last May. She was a Lhasa Apso and a brilliant house dog. Very lazy and didn’t shed hair. We were lucky to have her for 13 years but she won’t be replaced.

    Unusually for me only 4 days into the new year and I have completed a figure. This was an exercise in using just contrast paints and I think it has come out ok. A Tyranid winged prime for my last model to play with as he is standing in one on his base.

    I can almost see the chequered flag now. Glass parts to fit and tidy up the front where the decal sank into the two recesses, then paint the stand.

    Another run of shifts done and a stinking cold battled and now hopefully on the home stretch. Gear change pedal done, fairings in undercoat along with the seat pads. Front wheel assembly also complete.

    Chromed parts

    How do you deal with chromed parts? I’ve got several on my current build which is ok but they still have mould lines to be removed which obviously removes the coating. These parts also require detail painting too, wouldn’t it just be simpler not to provide them?

    More progress but back on nights tonight. Had some real problems with the exhaust decals laying down but then creasing, I think i might end up just painting. Got the swing arm screwed in place now for the front forks.
