Great work. I do like a nice engine. But that pilot. If you had asked me to guess his nationality, I would have said German. Can he look anymore German ?

First flight of the Spitfire 5th March 1936 - 90 years ago

Greetings everyone. We could fit this in with a slight overlap with the logistics GB, so, if we get 10 people, we could do March, April and May. What do people think ? We'd be ok at 1:72 Anyone with a 1:24 better have a very understanding partner to get that done in 3 months.

First flight of the Spitfire 5th March 1936 - 90 years ago

I'm sure many of us have built a Spitfire or two in the past, but this is quite a special date. Is anyone interested in a Group Build to mark the occasion ? There was something like 24 variants made, ignoring the Mk26 - ish. So even if you've made one before, I'm sure there's another you could find.

    New hobby started

Sorry to read of your troubles, but the chaps above have offered good advice there. Tropical fish, I've been keeping them for the last 12 years. Fluval is about as well known as the BBC in aquraium world, so all should be good there. I know you're really keen to get the animals in there, but...

    1:48 Smer Macchi Castoldi M.C. 72

The box says 1:48, I doubt it would make that much difference. Oh yes, I don't mind a bit of rigging. I'll probably just use fishing thread, but if you know where I can get some flat rod, I'll have a look at using that. I'm off to find the sun, so it will be a good few days before I resume...

    1:48 Smer Macchi Castoldi M.C. 72

Well, I saw this in a shop and thought, it looks alright. I wasn’t expecting much from an old kit, but lucky me, I got a lot of free plastic. Having had a bit ok a play with it, it seems locating pins are a suggestion, rather than an aid to location. As you can see, a fully comprehensive...

Thank you farmer boy, that looks spot on, and it's in stock.

Red Arrows Hawk. What paint did you use ?

Sometime in the future I'll be building a 1:32 Revell Red Arrows hawk. My question is, what paint to use. Humbrol H238 enamel isn't available, well I've had no luck finding it.. There is a water based acrylic available which I'm not to keen on. So, have you painted a Red arrows Hawk ? If so...

Airfix 1/72nd scale Blackburn Buccaneer S.2C

That's a top job Gary. Your AI trick is brilliant. I think I might need a bit of AI to get a 250GTO in my garage. But anyway, this is a nice kit from Airfix. I've built the Navy version some time ago but keep promising myself an RAf on eventually.

Nice job, it looks an early finish is on the cards. As for the canopy, put a tarpaulin over it.

Purple, brilliant. I've got a purple car. It's always a bit of a laugh when you see another purple car on the road.
