    3D printer

It would be a cheap way to learn the ropes if it works properly. It will put you off printing if it doesn't ( and yes more expensive ones can be a pig in a poke , too )

    3D printer

I can only see a sub-£100 printer bringing you heartache and pain. I have a fdm and a resin printer , which i have had sitting doing nothing for a long time due to a new eyesight problem. FDM are great for less detailed items , resin for more highly detailed , but they both have a large learning...

What blade type do you use and for what ?

Workzone brand, made by https://www.walteronline.com/en, think they were either a Lidl or Aldi purchase. Also use a set of handles and blades bought from ebay , Chinese origin, which are very good , but not strong enough to cut thru sprue, use my cheap blue handle cutters for thayt.

SLA /MSLA 3D printing with an Elegoo Mars Ultra - with a model making inclination

I have done multiple refinements on the truck body mockup I was working on, as the model when rendered triggers thoughts on how to improve the model / simplify for printing. Silly little tweaks that will make major differences Also messing with microsofts own 3d Builder , I use the viewer a...

Niggle 2 : I was printing some fuel drums , rendered versions All looked fine, I printed them, threw away the damaged base for the statue, and then proceeded to clean and cure. Then I realised that the writing was mirrored ...... ok says me, one of the mirror settings in the slicer must be...

SLA /MSLA 3D printing with an Elegoo Mars Ultra - with a model making inclination

each slice horizontally gets cured by the system, my understanding about curing the finished model is that the outside surface will not be as cured as each of the very thin horizontal layers built up, That is horizontally printed , but most models are printed at an angle so the slice in the...

    1. I'm trying to keep costs down, and the only 405nm flashlight that gets good reviews that I have found is 20mm wide and as expensive as the 5 LEDs with resistors plus 5 x 9v battery press connectors I don't know if any other wavelength light has an error in freq or spread that would also cover...

Result of the test without the right temp (1) the number of cylinders should equal the number of holes ( 2 ) which it almost manages , BUT , not all cylinders and 'holes'' are there (3) the infinity sign should have a crisp sharp point, this doesn't quite (4) horizontal steps are not as...
