So, after sealing in the decals and a bit of light weathering - mostly just some very gentle sooty streaks - I have given both airframes a coat of VMS satin.... That really only leaves all the fiddly little bits to be added, so the next updates will be in the completed section. Thanks...- Nicko

Still ticking along with these. After a bit of detail painting, I hit both airframes with a coat of clear gloss. Then after a day to cure I have this afternoon being having fun with the decals. I have to say, they went on very nicely. Thanks as always for looking in.... Nick- Nicko

Moving on to the upper surfaces, the Eastern Front green camo of RLM62 & RLM70 were a bit brighter than I was expecting whilst the grey Western Front camo of RLM74 & RLM75 seemed to have quite minimal contrast. I've been beavering away on these, mostly sanding, filling, sanding etc and the result is that the Frog kit has lost some of it's raised detail. Not sure what can be done about that so I will live with it. Managed to break one of the guns off the Hasegawa kit - they were moulded integrally with...- Nicko

Thanks for your responses guys. So I started working on a spinner yesterday and didn't think it was looking too bad.... Today I have been working outside splitting some logs. Then I went in my workshop to do a bit of work on one of my bikes. I do my airbrushing in there too and it was 1.3C so...- Nicko

Some modest progress on these two...... Here is a pic of the interior parts for the Frog kit... That's right, nothing. I therefore gave the interior of the fuselage a coat of matt black and closed it up. Tailplanes were a single piece also added at this point. Inside of the lower wings...- Nicko

The Hasegawa kit is a relative newbie, being tooled in 1976. And it shows: Instructions are quite nice too: Both kits had decals that were curled up rather horribly so I have sourced alternatives. Nick.- Nicko

So, taking the Frog kit first. I thought there must be some parts missing when I first opened the box - not a lot is there: Here it is all spread out: You'll notice there isn't even an attempt at undercarriage bays - think this will be built 'wheels-up': Pretty basic instructions too...- Nicko

Well, here she is all finished. Its an old tooling and neither particularly well detailed or great in the fitting, but I am satisfied with how she turned out.
