After several hours of flatting and polishing I managed to achieve a decent finish. Some small sinkage marks are present around the ejector seat roof panel and bullet proof shield but will live with them. Now to mask and apply chrome in the relevant places. Got some more of the DB5 done. Adding piping to the seats and door panels and completed the floor pan and running gear. Just dry fitted the unpolished body to check the stance - wheels just loosely fitted. Being a snap together kit means if you paint the parts you have to open up all the holes...- Stefee

Decals and 2k clear applied, some dirt inclusions and minor sinkage around the sunroof and bullet shield inserts to be flatted and polished when fully cured. A decent kit despite its age and it being Italeri which have caused me serious problems in the past. Reasonable amount of detail for a kit with no stand alone engine. Dragon 1/72 SH-3D "Helo 66" retrieving Apollo CM.
Interior received a very light dirtying up and everything in position although both pilots feet are nowhere near the pedals. Ballast hot glued into tail just in case. Now to join the 3 part fuselage - not looking forward to this.- Stefee

Dragon 1/72 SH-3D "Helo 66" retrieving Apollo CM.
As a first for me I have found that painting the seats , instrument panels and figures in 1/72 very difficult. Having only one fully functioning eye means my depth perception is totally out of whack so always put paint in the wrong place hence the somewhat amateurish attempts. All colours etc...- Stefee

Engine bay done, no extras here just the kit parts plus some generic decals. The milk chocolate and caramel ripple interior eventually masked and painted. Still lots of fettling to do and satin clearcoat. Will be flocking the carpeted areas and adding seat belts but they are both Fathers Day...- Stefee
