    I think we have a case of VARIANTS. There are metal slats, wooden slats and wooden slats with metal holders. I would imagine wood would be popular especially on the Eastern Front with added grip during the winter months. I will ask the experts and see what they say. A very interesting question...

    Did the rules change after the war so that if the vehicle went into private/business use that it had to be licensed to be driven on the road??

    Tiger according to box early production

    They were made of steel David Being by the rear exhausts they got covered in exhaust fumes. Original colour would be the same as the tank colour. However they were replaced often as they did split easily.

    This is my only picture of the UE I would imagine the legs were strapped to the back and the chocks welding it to the front. Then it would be used like a static tank destroyer ie Stug, Jagpanther I will have a look through my reference material to see what I can find
