Tamiya 1:32nd scale aircraft, which would you buy?

I'm looking forward to seeing what people put as there answers, bear in mind the question is limited to only the Tamiya kits. I already have one of the Mustangs and was thinking of adding a couple more to my stash. Having seen what's in the box to me they really are worth the money. I'm...

    Revell's Battalestar Galactica

Started working on my Battlestar Galactica kit with the added extra of a lighting kit with it :) Its a learning curve for me in that I've learnt I hate soldering! There has to be a way of attaching wires to LEDs without a soldering iron. The other thing I just found out is that a lump of...

    F-16c Thunderbirds 2009/2010

Just finished my Thunderbirds display F-16c, straight forward build the only down side was a reaction between the gloss coat and the decals causing some stipling on the underside. Comments welcomed as always Adrian

    Panel line washes?

I'm just putting the finishing touches to a F-16c Thunderbirds build and I'm in two minds whether to add a wash for the panel lines, I know the actual aircraft are spotlessly clean but I'm hoping it may just make the detail pop. What do you guys think? I'll be using Flory washes so as they...

    Non-slip surfaces?

I'm hoping someone can shed some light on the location of the non slip surfaces on modern day American armour, mainly the M1A1 Abrams and the M1A3 Bradley. I managed to find an odd picture here and there but nothing I can use to copy this onto future builds. Thanks Adrian

    Ade's V-22 Osprey build

Well, last year I did my D-Day build that took most of the year to complete with all the vehicles and figures, so this year I'll be working on the V-22 Osprey. I plan to wire up the engines and add some LED's along with a base and ground crew working on her. I can see a lot of work hiding the...

    My absence from the forums.

Firstly let me say I'm not posting this for no other reason than to explain my lack of activity of late. Depression, it's as simple as that. This time of year is normally hard for me as many will know I lost my mom in Nov 2 years ago, now with my brother forcing the sale of my home I find it...

First of my three planned 1:24th builds for this year is the P51D Mustang, this will be a practice board for my BMF skills, I'm planning to just build this one straight out of the box as I have the Tamiya 1:32 Mustang to build as well. So here's the sprue shots Adrian

    Christmas Competition,,, My results

Well each year our club holds a Christmas competition, where we can all enter builds we've completed through the year. So this year I entered 3 of my builds, I have to say more to see what the judges thought than with any hopes of placing my builds. So blow me down when the committee announced...

    English Electric Lightning commission builds!

I've been asked to build 2 English Electric Lightning aircraft!! Now I've a few concerns that I'm hoping people can help me with, so first up the "client" has purchased the Airfix 1:48th kits, are these good kits, has anyone built this kit and what were your thoughts? Next up, he's asked for...

Iron Man 3 " Igor" Build

This is a massive model kit when stood next to my regular Iron Man builds, it's a petty straight forward build and a nice and simple paint scheme of just silver blue and silver. So here goes ......... Adrian

    COMPLETED,,,,, Eduard 1:32 Bf 109E

Finished my first ever 1:32 scale kit, it wasn't too bad was expecting a little trouble with it been an Eduard and my past experiences with them. Anyway here's to details, the engine was painted using Mr Hobby Metal colours, these are great as you can buff them to reach the level of wear you...

    My builds for 2015

So I thought I would list what I intend to build next year, it will be good to look back at the end of the year and see how many I get round to, barring any Real life issues of course :) As part of the SIG 1:24th build P51 Mustang Spitfire Hurricane V-22 Osprey, this is a full on build...

    Osprey tail gate gun?

I'm about to start my Osprey build but having watched loads of videos for reference I have noticed the ones deployed have a rear gun on the ramp, the kit version is missing this so, anyone able to tell me if I can buy one separately? I've done a search and can't see any add ons that I can buy...

    COMPLETED,,,,,,,,,KC-130F Hercules "Fat Albert"

I'm calling this one done, though I need to remove the front screen and redo a seam that's cracked, All in all a great little build and an interesting lesson in masking circles, I'll display it with my F-18 I did last year in the Blue Angels colours as well :) Comments welcome as always...

    Completed ......Iron Patriot

Finally finished my Iron Patriot build, I'm really pleased with the colour, though if anyone looks at the films you'll notice the film version is a lot lighter, which going by the comic books is incorrect it's supposed to be a deep blue :) Hope you like and comments always welcomed...

Alclad hints and info ( word of warning )

Not a great title as I didn't really know what to call my post :) I'll start by saying these are my own observations on my recent use of Alclad paints. Now I've used Alclad for a few years now and never have any issue with finishes, I can get great results with the chrome and any of the metal...
