    Its too flipping Hot!

So so hot! It's armed forces weekend in Cleethorpes starts tomorrow, I'm planning on riding my bicycle the seven or so miles to see the Typhoon display at noon, I imagine travelling by car would be the usual gridlock and problems finding a parking place, but, the forecast is for more record...

BOATMANS B58 HUSTLER IN 148th scale with lights

Brilliant! Another large kit to undergo the 'boatman' treatment! I look forward to seeing your progress with this mighty cold war warrior! There's something satisfying about building these classic kits overcoming fit finish and detail challenges that are rare in modern kits Proper modelling...

    JASDF Typhoon F-4

Indeed, only it won't be a 'what if' with Japan being a part of the GCAP consortium

    JASDF Typhoon F-4

Yup, about twenty per cent of Japanese words are 'loan words' borrowed from European languages, mostly English, but 台風 taifu is one that has loaned the other way, there are a many others such as kamikaze karaoke futon sushi bonsai ramen origami sudoku and zen for example, where as 'anime' is a...

    JASDF Typhoon F-4

One from my 'what if' build list, an Airfix 1/72 Eurofighter Typhoon (starter set) Great kit, went together really well

    Going awol

Looks good! I prefer the more narrow and flatter wall mounted display rather than the free standing cabinet type, you've certainly got them nice and cosy in there! As for the Lotus, it's kind of fitting, Colin Chapman wasn't one to follow convention preferring innovation and critical thinking...

    All done

It must be a local NHS thing, here in North Lincolnshire I got a letter from my doctors surgery in the post asking me to book an appointment for a test, I had the DRE and PSA and now every three years book a further test.

Selling my odds and ends. Facebook marketplace or eBay?

I thought they were a second hand clothes and kids stuff thing?

AK Real colors. Same paint different bottle (worse in this case).

Missus Miko has that effect on me, I just have a naturally guilty expression!? I need to experiment more with other than my usual Tamiya and Mr Color paints, I suppose these aren't the way to go? Miko (presently perpendicular)

Selling my odds and ends. Facebook marketplace or eBay?

three Austin seven cars? wow! eBay has better back up if things go wrong but Facebook is more personal Miko (haven't sold stuff on either)

    Chapter closed

That's a fine modelling space, hopefully your new space will be as useful Good to see lots of drawers, modeller need lots of drawers, where we keep our best kept secrets! Maybe your next build thread could be a 1/1 scale modelling room, involving some assembly gap filling sanding and painting...

    Cleaning the stash... Sort of

Certainly, you've reduced your stash by one. . . . after adding one! So, depending on your time reference, you could logically assert your last action was a stash clearance! Miko (thinking like a lawyer!)

    Latest Acquisitions (2026)

In this regard scalemates is your friend giving you the heritage of the kit, Tamiya rebox quite a few other kit brands, just like most of all the other kit giants Miko (Hasegawa/Frog Lightning F6 was my first experience of a reboxing)

    SHARP.

I remember in junior school our teacher had us experiment with cardboard pyramids! No, they didn't work, obviously! Miko (sceptic)

    SHARP.

New blades aren't too expensive, especially if you buy lots in one go, also, buy the least expensive, they lose their edge just the same as the more premium ones. Miko (once tried to sharpen an xacto blade with a razor strop, didn't work!)

    Amazing Amazon

We can all criticise Amazon for many things such as the death of the High Street and small businesses but, their delivery service is remarkable! With a 'Prime' account P+P is mostly no longer a worry. Today for example I made an order for paper coffee filters (I do enjoy 'proper' coffee) at...
