Looking fab mate, love your attention to detail, it will all be worth it on completion. I've done a few dioramas now, but all have been quite small and I've only done very small, partial. bits of buildings, not sure I'm ready for anything like the size or ambition that you are doing, so more...- pjgtech

At 1:35 scale, a typical UK 9" thick wall (225mm) would only about 6.5mm thick, just to give you some perspective. Cheers- pjgtech

Aoshima Tiny 1:2000 scale USS Missouri
After doing a fair few kits now, I have learnt that you sometimes need a spare part, or to sctatch build summit, so I keep anything thats left over, eg: unused parts on a sprue or if I'm getting rid of an old model, I'll scavange anything that might be useful for a future build, wheels, figures...- pjgtech

Think this is the smallest one I've done? the other little ships I did were 1:1200, this one is 1:2000! Gulp... Will have a got at painting it up, we'll see how we get on.... as I said its just a little "filler" model, so not too fussed if I bodge it, but I'll try not to...- pjgtech

GRASS AND TAMIYA PAINTS
I have a good selection of grasses, ground cover plants, little shrubs, etc now, and I tend to mix and match them, so theres some dark, some light, some medium, etc, seems to look ok. Other than that I just add a few dabs of paint or pigments or a wash, etc as a final touch if they need it. Cheers- pjgtech

Aoshima Tiny 1:2000 scale USS Missouri
Started the build, the two sides of the lower hull/keel... needed a few pegs, clamps... Then the lower hull, glued to the upper hull/sides.... also needed some support/pegs, clamps.... The base holds it nicely.... Then started to add some detail, the larger guns, deck superstructures...- pjgtech

Found this little kit dirt cheap in a model shop ages ago, so snapped it up.... Its now a little "filler" kit, to keep me busy, until I decide what my next proper build will be..... Box and sprue, not many parts.... Lol...- pjgtech

Superglue (CyanoAcrylate), you can get thin CA, medium and thick, so different types and some set immediately, some give you 30 secs to move things and some give even longer 1min, etc, so theres lots of different types out there. I tend to use a medium thick CA which gives about 30 secs to move...- pjgtech

Using very small dabs of CA rather than TET may hold things together better and give the whole thing more strength? I've found TET not to be that good/strong if the contact point is very small.....- pjgtech

Just watched the NASA/JPL Voyager documentary, (I think I may have seen it before few years back). 🚀🚀🚀 Very interesting, especially with the tech they had at the time, eg: 1972 (project started) to 1977(launch). V1 has now left our solar system and is still flying through interstella space, V2...
