SimonT Tribute Build – Scratch built Interior of a Stug III Ausf D

Hi Everyone This is my tribute build to Mr T. Unfortunately, it cannot go into the GB as it is over 50% compete. So, look at this and Rick's Zis Fuel Truck as the appetiser before the main event at the beginning of November. :thumb2: Simon helped me out on all my builds from either...

    4Bo at the ready!!

Its too late for this build but the wheels of a tank are a great way to go to town with the modulation extremes. I always aim to paint the wheels with light colours to contrast against the hull's darker colours. Use two or three different shades on reach wheel. Also highlighting rims, nuts and...

Its NOT a Stug!! Tamiya 1/35 Brummbar + Easy link Ostketten tracks

Difficult to tell from the photos Bob. Looks good from here. I personally like a bit of primer showing through here and there as it adds to the faded worn out look. If your a happy bunny then I'm a happy bunny too :smiling2: :smiling5:

    Tiger Commander.

If it were me then the green and red brown would be chipped to the yellow colour. The yellow colour chipped to the red oxide as JR says. However it depends on how extreme you want the look to be. You may just want to leave it as is and just dirty it up a bit

Help needed with a simple scratchy build, please

The ones I have made in the past have simple brackets (three in total) riveted to the pack panels. Then using two planks of wood for the support. Quite a lot of the time the crew would then add a length of track to increase the height of the boards and support more stowage. If you have a look at...

Help with using a drill to clean wheels?

Hi Bob These are a set of wheels I did recently. The top right one has the tyre taken off entirely. I used the como/dremmel drill with a discus shaped drill bit and gently created the groove while turning the wheel on the end of a toothpick
