Carpet
For the smaller scales I have used Mr Surfacer 500 dabbed on to the area with a stiffish brush to create texture and then painted it.- Jim R

FROG 1/72 de Havilland DH 60 g Gypsy Moth
Not a lot to this kit so room for your improvements. Almost a hundred years ago - one hell of an achievement. I don't think I'd want to fly far in such a flimsy looking plane. 😳- Jim R

Such very, very sad news. My thoughts are with his family and friends. He was such a great modeller who produced wonderful dios but never took himself too seriously. His skills and sense of humour will be greatly missed. Love the idea of a build in his memory.
