    HELP

The theory is that any tweezers that do not twist can hold things without launching them into near earth orbit as long as you are not squeezing the life out of the object you're holding. The cross grips Peter posted are great for holding things for longer times but for general working, I find...

    Ian M's Seafire fr46/47. Airfix 1/48.

Thanks chaps. Problems?! After all the effort of cutting out camera ports and masking. I found out while decaling that they were painted over on the mk46! So that will need sorting out! Also the undercarriages are not being cooperative! These are the things that make the hobby fun.... or so I...

Is scale modelling a cheap or expensive hobby?

I have (had) some humdingers before. Photography was an early starter. good old days, rolls of 35mm and a bag full of lenses, Hours walking around and taking a lot of time over the act. This has since gone digital. Not nearly as much fun. Just shot and scoot. Fishing... according to may wife I...

    Ian M's Seafire fr46/47. Airfix 1/48.

So been an on and off build since Saturday, but.... Got the fiddly bis painted. Just need to paint some details on the rockets. Not that you can see it here but the bottom is painted just hard to see in the photo in the hard light. A bit easier to see the colour against the masking tape...

    Ian M's Seafire fr46/47. Airfix 1/48.

Thanks chaps. So... Got 99% of the glue work sorted, just a few bits to add add the end. You know, those little bits that always get knocked of if you put them on to early. I got the canopy masked off together with the camera ports and the ID lamps and wing tips lights. A collection of 'bits'...

    Andrew's 1/48 Airfix Spitfire XVIII (A05140)

I know the feeling. Spend a small fortune on bling swear and curse installing it all and never see them again. My ongoing Seafire the cockpit is black grey. (as many if not all newer RN aircraft have). So OOB it is then lol.

    Rembering Ron.

One thing that I forgot in the initial post. If you feel up to it, a preamble story could be quite fitting. It was the Background stories that had me chuckling whilst enjoying his builds. Ron had a talent for keeping humor in most of his diorama builds, a thing I quite like to do as well, (he...

In Memory of Ron. Sorely missed. Never forgotten.

This thread is a place to chat about Ron, ask for hints and pointers related to the GB. There is a dedicated gallery for your finished builds. As with the build for Allan, this build has no end date and there is no need to ask if you can join in. I have put the start to the beginning of April...

    Rembering Ron.

I would like to make a memorial build in Ron's honour. I suggest a change from the norm. An open to all build that can be joined by anyone at any time. As for a subject for the build? What else than a diorama - vignette. or just on a simple base... An alternative could be any model that tickles...
