Theres F18 pilots here: (standing and seated) FA18 pilot seated FA18 Pilot and an F14 pilot here eBay F14 pilot Plus looks like Ali Express do the same figure....- pjgtech

An update on my wife and my lack of posting since today.
Sorry to hear that bud.... Been through this now twice, with my old Dad and my Father in Law, both ended up in care homes. Not an easy thing to go through or deal with. Get as much help as you can mate. And remember to look after yourself too. Be well..... (y) -

Diecast interior updates
As above, whatever you can get in the space really, if you can get a dremel type device in there, then it will be faster, but if not a small razor saw or similar, but it will take longer, then tidy up any rough edges with scalpel, sanding, etc.- pjgtech

Ok so its done, here are some pics, (below) I have literally just taken it out of the mould and done nothng else. I know you can sand/polish resin so I could maybe tidy it up a bit, but, as this was just an experiment, not too fussed about a pristine fuinish TBH. For me it was more about...- pjgtech

Hi mate, pics would be helpful, I assume its a metal outer shell with some sort of plastic interior? Does the outer shell come off easily, eg: screw, rivet, etc?- pjgtech

Brave New World - Epoxy Resin U Boat Dio
Its nearly set, but still a bit pliable, so I got the pallette knife out and pushed a few wavelets into the surface, and tried to simulate a small wake behind the periscope. Once its all set, etc I may touch up the tops of the wavelets with some white tips.- pjgtech

Considering this as my first aircraft build
Looks a nice kit. Good luck with it if you choose to build it. I'm not a huge fan of Planes n Heli's, but I've still built a few. Personally I would get bored if I only stuck to one genre, so I like to mix it up a bit and try all sorts. But I do find that trying anything new is always a... -

Took more layers than I thought, I originally planned on about four layers, but I think I've done seven or eight layers now. Obviously you don't want to go too thick with the resin layers as it can then not set properly. Apparently you can buy special "deep pour" resin, but thats not what I'm...- pjgtech

Last nights layer pour.... you can see the wobbly bent / melted periscope! [Bah!] Then here is this mornings layer pour, almost completely covered now, just the tip of the periscope poking out.... NB: I know the sides are a bit "wavy".... this is a silicone bread tin mould, so its very soft...- pjgtech

Schoolboy error, Doh! Last night I did a late layer pour, but had a few bubbles, So I got out the heat gun and gave it a quick blast, but, I had now added the sub to the resin/container..... and the sub is made of soft melty plastic...... so......not realising I had placed the heat gun a bit...- pjgtech
