Gecko Models 1/35 Cruiser Tank A10 Mk 1A CS

Hi Mate, well done for completing the build mate, looks like you certainly had a battle on your hands, but it turned out well. As above like Andy, I have only built a couple of Gecko models myself, but they were all good IMHO, but I'm sure every manufacturer can have some good and some bad kits...

German Jagdpanzer VI - AliExpress No Name special - 1/144 scale.

I bought a batch of six of these cheap and cheerful mini tanks a while back, from Ali Express (or it could have been Temu, can't quite remember TBH). Mainly cos I wanted a very small Tiger and it came in this set. Having bult the little Tiger I'm now onto the other little tanks, this one is the...

    Revell - German U-Boat - Type VII C/41 - 1:350 scale

A bit of progress today.... After joining the two hull sections, the deck was then fixed in place, again it needed a few clamps, some tape, etc. It was very thin and fiddly, but it seems to fit quite nicely. I then went on to the main conning tower sub assembly. NB: I read that on modern subs...

    Revell - German U-Boat - Type VII C/41 - 1:350 scale

My next victim. A little Jerry sub. Looks like a nice little kit, not many parts, I think I'm gonna do a "stealth" sub...... Very dark and mean looking. Box and sprue. First order of business, (after quick clean up and look thru the instructions) was the hull. Seemed a nice enough fit, but was...

Paint pot holder - from scrap!

I've seen a few paint pot holders, custom made, cheap plastic. etc, some hold one pot, some hold several Being a clumsy oaf, I have, on occasion knocked over the odd pot (or two!) So I had a rummage in the garage, found an old bit of laminated ply, cut it to size, drilled some holes, gave it a...

Is scale modelling a cheap or expensive hobby?

That's one of the reasons I stick to air rifles, more shots per £, eg: tin of 500 pellets maybe £15, Which equates to roughly 3 pence per shot! Although all the gear and accessories added up can still be expensive.

Is scale modelling a cheap or expensive hobby?

Yeah, I agree that I get a lot of time out of the hobby and a lot of pleasure building em.... Think my most expensive hobby was Motorbikes, spent a bloody fortune on bikes, gear and trips away, etc, Lol! ;)

Is scale modelling a cheap or expensive hobby?

Just musing, and its all relative I know..... I've had many hobbies over the years, from playing Football, to running, to playing Golf, and Squash, Cycling, Fishing, Motorbikes, Cars, Air rifle target shooting, gaming computers and consoles, collecting stuff, Lego, etc, etc. Some were...

    Workbench, show us yours

Only thing about mine is the extra led lights on the tripods are a bit weedy, I'm thinking of upgrading. But they were probably the cheapest ones out there, so my own fault, buy cheap, etc.....

    Workbench, show us yours

Ok, if we are showing workbenches, not just model making workbenches, then here's my garage, it was empty when I moved in, and like most people why waste that space by putting a car in it! So a few benches were made, one was purchased (Machine Mart red one) and then filled up with tools, etc. A...

    Help

Edit, very remiss of me, I should of course have added my condolences. If its collection only an indication of what area in the UK would be good? And an indication of what models, eg: tanks, planes, vehicles, figures and how many, eg: 10 or 300! Photos would definitely help. And are you looking...

Cool, now that's a nice set-up! (y);)(y) I have just moved the small sofa bed that was in my study, into the other spare bedroom, (which previously had lots of junk in it, but is now clear). So that has freed up a lot of space in my study, which is small and the sofa bed was taking up about a...
