    Brian's Sovereign of the seas

You're not going the extra mile here Brian, you're going the extra 10 miles :ROFLMAO: Certainly mad - I'd keep the front door locked if I were you 'cause the men in the white coats with the cattle prods will be heading in your direction! Superb work.

Who made the first plastic model kit?

I wonder if any of those very early kits still exist and what price you'd have to pay if one appeared on eBay?

    Pete's Humbrol Tempest

I've never heard of Truescale before. The box looks old school. The kit itself looks fine and you're off to a good start. Nice to see you back cutting plastic.

Who made the first plastic model kit?

From a Google search ... Here are the pioneers who helped establish the hobby: Frog "Penguin" (1936): The widely accepted first-ever plastic model kits, initially marketed as non-flying "Penguin" miniatures. Revell (Early 1950s): They revolutionized mass-produced consumer plastics in the U.S...

A few companies produce ready made tractor models. Britain's being one. Google "Case Puma scale model". Something should come up. You will hopefully find a model to use as a starting point.

    What's on the Bench 2025

I went to the Shropshire Model Show a week or so ago. A good little show. Got chatting to a guy called Adrian Hopwood. A excellent figure painter. He has a website - www.bashmodels.co.uk. On a nearby table was a guy selling 3D figures and you know how it is :ROFLMAO:  :ROFLMAO: I got...

    Jim R's Revell 1/72 Torpedo Boat, PT-109

Some progress (y) Lower hull painted Hull Red - not much will be seen. Upper parts MRP Olive Drab. The deck has had a coat of chipping fluid before the OD so I can create a bit of wear on the deck. Sorry about the very poor photos. Thanks for looking. England still in the World Cup (y):)(y)

BOATMANS B58 HUSTLER IN 148th scale with lights

Well Chris that undercarriage is one of the most fiddly bits of a build I've seen. You make it even more so by adding lights. So well done Sir, give yourself a pat on the back.

    what are you watching ?

Like Rich I'm watching The Tour de France. Watched The Giro earlier in the year and will watch The Vuelta in August. High spots of my year when it comes to sport.

    Steven's Eduard 1/48 F6F-3 Hellcat

Great progress. A lot of adapting to display in flight. As has already been said the pilot is superb.

    Spitfire Mk.Vb (Trumpeter 1/24)

Sorry Steven, I missed the start of this but just had a catch up. Excellent work so far. The cockpit looks excellent. The pilot is spot on. We see very few 1/24 planes built. Probably because there are few kits available in that scale.
