    Well it didn't keep me busy for long: As Joe said, a lot of fun for £10. As expected, there are 3 settings for the lights - cool white, warm white and an even warmer white, which is the setting in the photos - I didn't photograph the other settings as I don't think they'd look any different...

    Just to start another discussion; in IEC and ISO standards, the decimal separator is not a point but is a comma... Pete

    Well, you'd never build 1/72 of a Spitfire, but every dimension of the Airfix kit is 1/72 of the original. Both : and / are correct for a model.

    Another of these laser-cut plywood models, this one from a charity shop for a tenner: Much thinner plywood than the Rokr locomotive I built last, just a bit over 2mm thick. The laser cutting is very precise and there's a fair amount of detail. Managed this much yesterday: A full afternoon...

    A colon indicates a ratio, a slash indicates a fraction. For a static comparison there's no difference. Pete

    Finished now. It does run, on a smooth surface. Not the best model I've ever built but it kept me busy for a few days. The quality of the kit is very good, and they even provide a few spare parts for those that are likely to get broken: My next build will be this one, picked up in a charity...
