    Smallest amount to airbrush

    I am just curious, what is the smallest amount people use when airbrushing? In particular I am thinking when you want to paint something small that needs a different primer or colour? Normally, i just go to brush, but my current build will need two missiles in white primer and the rest in grey...

    Welcome to the forum. You'll probably find you have a few different colour schemes, which would account for all the paints, although with 1/32 there are probably lots of little parts that are just a dab of paint here and there. Whether you really need all 36 of them for this model is doubtful...

    I usually just manually shake and stir, but maybe it's time to shake things up (pun intended!). However, how much paint do you think you have saved from drying out and not being usable? I know I end up throwing a few out because they dried out, does this help prevent that?

    I may try that then. I always leave them off to do the decals and then fit the pylons.

    Looking good; the mottling is coming through well. Are the pylons fixed already? Most kits seem to have teeny-tiny decals for those, so do you put those on after the pylons are already fitted?

    I think you've got the level of weathering just right there, Geoff, that is a lovely little aircraft and finish - I may add this to the list for when I finally start reducing my stash (at current rate, somewhere around 2035) - so before HS2 anyway.

    I have a Tamiya or two - I'm provisionally in. I have an RAF Mustang, which I was thinking of doing in the US Icons. This would be a good GB for it. I may have a 109 as well. So yeah, count me in.

    Wow, they really are tiny - and then you do major surgery on them too? I stick to 1/48 generally to avoid the fiddly bits in 1/72 - I have no idea how you work on these, but I am very impressed nonetheless.
