UPDATES FURTHER DOWN.

After having a reminisce about gaming and the lovely Lara Croft I have started work on a dio of her.

She is a 1/12 poseable figure, standing around 6.5inches high, she is painted but I will be highlighting her-just waiting for her to come.

She is going to be posed on top a T-rex Skull with a save point nearby.

So, first pics of the T-Rex skull, made from a bought skull mag but then coated in a fine sand, grey primed then a light brown acrylic sprayed on, after that it was various oils and all sealed with matt varnish. I have the inside to do but after 3 hours on this I have had enough lol. Also is a resin round base for the save point.

More to come!

Si:)

That brings back many happy memories of playing the Tomb Raider games. Great stuff. Good luck with the dio, I'm sure it will be a great job

I'll be interested to see what the figure looks like.

In terms of SCARY realism, have you seen the Phicen figures???

Or how about this one????

Roy.

So disappointed Si. Lara and Croft.

Famous exciting and superb cricketers. Lara incredible batsmen and Croft equally incredible as a bowler both in Test Cricket.

Than I found that these were not the focus of your model.

Oh no.

Laurie ;)

That's right up there with "the batsmans Holding, the bowlers Willy." Just has to be the best sports commentator quotes ever.

Lara Croft though is probably a much more eye pleaser than any cricket player...

diffident and interesting Si,

great start and the skull looks great, ;)

will be waiting to see what she looks like,

Listened to this a couple of months ago. On BBC cricket they had the clip. The funny part was Johnners trying not to burst out laughing and all those around him giggling.

Laurie

Apologies SI.

Roy.
Cheers Roy for that, the hot toys are amazing but out of my budget :(

Ta guys, will be working on the figure, adding some staining and hopefully, some sweat sheen.

That could be open to misinterpretation... ;)

UPDATE:

Have added some highlights and some spotting to the skull, also added some growth.

Lara has been positioned, and will be highlighted later.

The round base and two statues and columns have been worked on, sanded, primed and painted and highlighted.

The board is just a template to figure out how I am positioning pieces, all together 5 hours work today.

Si:)

I found the gargoyles in a junk shop-I have draws filled with rubbish-50% will be used, one day :D The columns are the same ones I used in my Greece dio, just plaster cake wedding cake supports.

Glad you like it, I'm really enjoying it.

Si:)

very good find, and I think we all have some draws,or box fill with what we may use and would come in handy, ;)
