Sorry if this has been mentioned before a I have missed it but I have just read that a company called HK Models is going to release a 1:32 scale Lancaster MkIII. :respect4:I have worked out that it would have a wingspan of over 38 inches!!!!!!!!!!

Now I have a big house and love 1:32 scale, but 38" wingspan -- I would love to build this but how can even I accommodate it.

I have a room mind, it needs junk clearing out and redecorating....so maybe...

They also plan a B17 Flying Fortress too and at the end of this month are releasing a Mitchell...

I can definitely see a redecorating job coming on.

That'll make a very impressive model! But will be too big for most people I would imagine.

ive just been looking at it length 660mm span 971.55mm looks awsome but might be cheaper builder replica hahahahahaha

I don't have a mortgage, but I'll bet you're gonna need to take out a second one to afford this! Partly 'cos of the cost of the kit, but mainly 'cos you'd need to buy a new house to find room for it!

i just looked at the mitchell b25 glass nose and its 98euros so uhhmmmmmm might be in our price range lol

AAAGGGGGGHHHHHH.

I have inly just started to justify buying the 1/48 scale from Tamiya!

I think i've heard about this 'company' before. They 'used' a fellow modeller (Martin @ Wingscale) to get all the designs for these kits then dumped him at the final hour leaving him with nothing. He is now in partnership with a different company and will not be bitten twice.

As much as i'd love one i'm staying clear of them purely for the way they treated this fellow modeller

I understand your sentiment Al but Martin himself has said that he would hope that people will still buy the Mitchell, other wise all his efforts have really been wasted. How much he has been involved in the other aircraft I do not know.

I see that they have a Gloster in the pipe line as well...... ?? Hm might have room for that.

Sorry Ian i know Martin said to buy it if we want it but i don't like dealing with people that do that sort of thing. These companies need to see consumers and the internet can make a difference

Well i've heard in the grape vine that the Lanc' will be £200 + !!

I've got a 1/33rd built Lanc' which is hanging from my wall so if i did buy one the old 33rd Lanc' would have to go.

I wonder how many mistakes will be on this model ? If i get one you'll be the first to be told of any mistakes.

Just seen a post from the 'other side of teh fence' as it were and to be honest i am big enough to say i've made a mistake regarding HK. Seems like the version of the story i was told/lead to believe isn't quite right.

There is a page written by Tom Cleaver with an email from HK stating what went on and how things panned out. Very interesting.

Will it still look like a Lanc even with the mistakes? lol
With today's attitude regarding modelling most will fault pick them and at this scale

there will be the nutter modeller who buys this kit not to build it but to fault pick right

down to the propeller blades or something else. Whats the point in measuring the fuselage

and scale it up to find its 2mm too short then start chopping the model in half just to add

this 2mm, its madness with some modellers the next they'll be saying it should be made of alloy

not plastic and the clear parts should be glass not plastic. When does it end after all its supposed

to be fun. Recently spotted on a shite British Modelling forum that members are emailing Revell about

the 'new' Halifax and asking them what has gone wrong with such a newly advertised model.

Everyone fault picks the Tamiya Lanc and even some say its shite, they are the ones who don't understand the word FUN !

Oh just purchased my 10th Tamiya Lanc' kit :groupwave:
