discussion 1/35 Amusing Hobby Heavy Tank Destroyer FV 217 Badger

[Bigfoot57]

So is my next build something a bit different a tank destroyer this one is really huge envisage by the British I don’t know whether it actually went into service there’s no details in the kit about what it was so you have to look up online about it but I think it was probably in the 70 tonne weight bracket as you can see from the pictures the actual model itself is larger than a Challenger II tank by a considerable margin and it looks like it was armed with a massive 120 mm cannon so here are the box art and the some of the sprues before I begin construction
I will do it in the style of the Berlin camouflage like my Chieftan Mk 10 was done

That will look great in the Berlin Bridge camo

The badger was a variant of the tortoise...... Didn't get built

[Bigfoot57]

Yea I have a model of the Tortoise to build as well and that huge American 4 Tracked Monster the T28 & M28 respectively as far as I'm aware those 2 were actually built as prototypes I don't know about the Tortoise

[PaulTRose]

They built 6 tortoise tanks

[Tim Marlow]

There is a Tortoise at Bovington. Mild steel prototype I think.

I've been watching a lot of Mr Hewes just lately...... Here's how he did the Berlin Brigade camo on a Chieftain
