Hi this is my next build I've totally lost interest in Toon tank at the moment there's not the internet that there was, I've been building them for over 2 years straight.

So seeing if I can still build a real model.

Cleaned up all road wheels/support track rollers, fitted poly caps and glued together.
Fitted front rear axles, 2x floor hole caps, filled the gaps above rear idler wheels using white card.
Fitted all parts to rear panel adding two hinges to stowage bin, fitted rear panel to main lower hull.

I'm in, will make a change indeed. Still plenty to show your skills though Pete.

Everyone needs a change now and then, if your toons are anything to go by then this well be a great build I'm sure.

Hi Pete
"A change is as good as a rest" as they say. I bet you'll enjoy this and make a fine job of it.

Did some of these in a 1/87 BW KFOR PG dio. awhile back. Will follow along to see where I may improve them.

Hi a bit more WIP.
Test fitted tracks.
Fitted tools, lights, air filters and a bit of front detail.
Cleaned up side skirts built nearside and offside mirrors that have not fitted yet.
Assembled turret, gun barrel, searchlight, smoke dischargers, commanders conning tower, MG.

Looking good Pete. Know what you mean about the green plastic, but at least it isn’t silver….with that stuff you never know if the seam line is gone or not…..

Hi build stage complete.
Added some small chains to the smoke dischargers, added cable to searchlight, made radio mast from acupuncture needle, added ammo box to MG, added some detail to the canvas turret/ mantle apron, added some small tarps to the sides & rear.
That's it for this one until my paint bench is up and running.

Pete

In answer to the question in your first posting…..yes you can. And how!

Great to see your work again Pete. This is a terrific build. It takes me back to my youth seeing the commanders conning tower. I'm sure I had a diecast of this tank when I was a kid. It certainly brought back a lot of memories.

My Facebook page is a dead end as I just use it to promote the YT channel. Feel free to email me or PM me through the forum. It would be great to hear from you. Speak soon my friend

Hi I've had to revisit the Leo I've removed the stowage from the turret, scratch built the recovery cable brackets, made new recovery cable the second one got lost on exercise in some field , added the slots in the mud flaps and reflector the hooks are there but very faint, made up second antenna using a acupuncture needle and white rod, I've recently joined a Leopard private FB group with Richard Pearce, their stuff is absolutely amazing and got some useful tips and advice hence this post.
