Just came across this stunning build of the old 1/72 Airfix Stirling kit. What this person has done is nothing short of amazing. Sorry the text is in Italian but i just had to share it for the pictures alone

stunning is not the word,he took a model and made it look real, and the paint work is awesome

That's just astounding. Such a level of detail in that small scale.

I haven't read all the text, but with my shaky Italian i understand that he used the engines from a Hasegawa Beaufighter, as the Airfix ones were rubbish.

I can't build anything like this, but it does make me want to try just a bit harder on my next build !

He really went to town on that one, thats for sure. Really amazing.

Thanks for sharing.

Wow ,very humbling. I'm fumbling about making blobs and globs in 48 and this is 72!? Truly inspires one to step up the game a bit, nice find Allyne

Great stuff, but look at this in 1:144:

I don't know who he is, but I love and hate him in equal measure !!! At least it gives me something to aim for....

Thanks for sharing

Cheers, Neil

I guess this shows that each kit is a blank canvas and it's up to us to do what we want with it. That Stirling is amazing. The Stuka is insanely incredible.

Even with extreme magnifyers I would struggle to get my eyes brain and fingers in sync to complete that kind of work...Love his use of the thin bits of lego for dials...
