I've just sold a model and forgot to insert the instruction and now i cannot find the bloody things, does anybody have a spare copy I can have/barrow/use/buy or even know a website where I can download them???

I don't want to disappoint my buyer as its a big boo boo on me.

Anyone's help in this matter would be fantastic.

Lewis

Hi @Gern I still haven't received an email with the instruction, can you please forward them on to me..

My email is. lewisrags@hotmail.com

Cheers mate

Don't understand that at all Lewis. According to my email 'Sent items' list it went out on the 17th. I've just forwarded another set.

Maybe there's an issue with the attachment size. If you don't get it soon, get back to me and I'll split it into sections and send it a bit at a time.

If it was rejected or to large you should of gotten message Gern.

Lewis, Have you looked in your spam box.

Hello Dave,

Being a pain again, please may I request a favour :) wink wink

Now this is getting silly!

Can anyone tell me what I'm doing wrong as I'm still trying to get these things to Lewis?

I scanned the pages into my machine and then added them as attachments to an email. Apparently Lewis has tried to open them and his PC is telling him that he can't download them.

The image is coming up as about 39KB. When you sent the second lot they opened up fine and saved, but these ones won't open up on my MAC, IPAD and Samsung NOTE2.... I'm sorry if this is turning in to a bit of a cluster F**k

Try zipping all the files into a single compressed file (i.e. .rar or .zip) use a proprietry software such as winzip, winrar (there are loads of others available)

Its just a matter of highlighting the relevant files, right clicking and selecting save as .rar (or .zip)

(or even use the option "compress to .rar (or .zip) and email" which will save a bit of clicking around)

Then just send the single file as an attachment, some email servers don't like (and won't process) a lot of files attached for a number of reasons too geeky to mention :)

If you can save the scanned files as a .pdf file there are websites that can bang them together and make one small pdf of them. I downloaded a workshop manual for the car over 10 separate files and got them all packed down to one. The final file was smaller than the first single file. The site I use is this one www.PDF.TER.DK yes its in danish I'm afraid but google translate in chrome soon sorts that out.

Thanks for that Ian, but the only time I tried to put Chrome on my machine it took me two days to get my PC back into working order!

What's so special about it anyway! What does it do that Bing doesn't?

I zipped the files and sent them to Lewis - but I got an unexplained error message. Waiting to hear if Lewis actually got them.

Col, I use Windows Live Mail through blueyonder.co.uk - now Virgin. Where would I find out about any limits, and how can I change them if they're there?

I've just checked for you and apparently you can send up to 200 files, maximum 50 mb each, at one time so there's no issues there on your side.

Most newer broadband services can handle large attachments, but there's numerous reasons why they sometimes fail.

Thanks Col. It's not the size of the files then - they're only about 400kb each.

Must be like I said to Lewis, it's just one of the miracles of modern communication systems!

Do you use photobucket or Flickr Dave?

If so then upload them to that and let Lewis download a copy from there.
