Hello you guys.

Sorry I didn't post a wip on this one but it was a pretty full-on build over the last 4-5 months.

The basis was the Revell E Type but I actually only used about 1/2 the kit.

The whole rear end, roof and screen are my own scratch work, as is virtually everything under the bonnet including the engine/chassis frames. I also cast my own wheels, engine parts, carbs, etc, scratch made the dashboard, steering wheel and centre tunnel. Seats and doors trimmed in leather. Cast my own windscreen wipers, door mirror - goodness knows what else...

Everything was weathered and aged to match the real car which I (luckily) have access to.

I've done my best to recreate the real car in miniature.

The model is shortly off to the owner of the actual car which is one of the famous 'Cunningham three' semi-lightweights.

All great fun.

Roy.

That looks stunning Roy. From the pictures you can see you've put a lot of work into this one great build

A true modeller Roy, very talented and it shows in your exceptional builds, the owner is very lucky, one to have the real thing and two, to have someone as gifted as yourself create a miniature.

Stunning work and finish.

Roy you know I love your work, you are a king of car builds and this is another masterpiece, how about you apply your talents to a ship, I for one would love to see what you do with something, like the cutty sark or royal Sovriegn

Beautiful, what can I say? For me this is one of the most iconic vehicles ever, you've done it justice my friend.

Many many thanks all you guys.

It was a fun build.

Ken - a ship?

No, sorry. They really don't float my boat - no pun intended.

I did build a Billing ship many years ago - La Toulonnaise.

It was HUGE!

I sold it to a guy who owned a furniture shop...

Looks like you photo-shopped a real car onto a picture of your workbench. Just fantastic
