1/87 Hummel battery on the march

Thread owner
Thanks. The tracks have been upgraded w/Hauler etch. They make brass track for Pzr IVs, Vs, 38ts I think, & various Russian tanks. Out of the spares box. They are late mold ROCO PzrIV external air cleaners cut up. PaulE

Brass tracks ! Would like to know more on those Paul.
Agree with a photo including a ruler to give us some idea of really the size of these brilliant models.

HLR87032.jpg PzrIV trks.jpgHLR87135.jpg Russian tracks.jpg Hauler Models does all kinda stuff in many scales. They have an e-store & Hannants carries their line. Shown are 1/87 examples for ROCO PzrIV & T72. PaulE

Thanks Paul.:thumb2:
Not a bad idea, they look more to scale being in PE .

ROCO 15cm howitzer & ROCO Nashorn plus a lot of details, kit & crew mashed together to represent an early Hummel. Just noticed I'll need to patch the hole in the recuperator. Currently deciding on camo or not. Opinions? C&Cs encouraged. PaulE

Its amazing the amount of "activity" you mamage to create on such small models. Lovin these builds a lot Paul. Keep up the great work my friend.

P.S Those PE tracks are nuts!

Thanks guys. Thought I'd filled that hole. Lost the antenna somewhen. Decided the old campaigner would have his act together, so camoed & added breech & muzzle covers. PaulE

Hi Paul
As always you seem to get so much into these tiny models. A real tribute to your skills (and eyesight! :nerd:)

That is an "Early Girl". Even has the early style exhaust. Well done Paul. Was it 4 or 6 to a battery?

Thank you gentlemen. 6, but #one is lost to counter battery fire & #six is in for repairs. Here is where I am presently. PaulE

8 divided by 42 is 5.25 and 84 divided by 25 is 3.36. Hope this helps :smiling5: :smiling2:  :thumb2:

I like your builds photographed that close up...helps with our failing eyesight. PE tracks for that scale are wicked. :thumb2:

Cheers,
Richard

Try putting a handle on a bucket in 1/87 scale Richard. Hi Paul, Thanks for clearing that up for me. Loving the repurposed dio. and looking forward to further developments. Rick H.

Ya I know, I've made a Lewis and Vickers in 1/72 so the bucket handle will be a challenge in 1/87. :smiling2:

Cheers,
