I always thought the 57mm AT gun was pretty much a "doorknocker", so will attempt to convert a couple ROCO 105s to 3" AT guns to complete my armored inf. co. Removal of primary shields, and added barrel extentions (surplus Sherman barrels). Worked out new shield templates from photos & sketched out first try.

Hi Paul, it's been a while since I've dropped into your posts. Great job on the 3" guns. I can associate with the scratch building of 1/72 and smaller being a challenge. I like your pile of gizmology including the resistors. They always come in handy when needed.

Cheers,
Richard

Hi Paul,
Fine work so far. The reference material must be extremely good as you have added a tremendous amount of detail there. Good Mojo!

Paul .
Great out come.
What's with the resistors that Richard spotted, do you use then for fire extinguishers and the like .?

Thanks for dropping by & commenting gents. I use the capacitors more often, but the shape of these resistors caught my eye. I generally strip things going into the bin for stuff I might use. I've found the Allied-Axis series of soft covers by Ampersand Publishing is an excellent reference (I have almost all of them), also Panzer Tracts when available/affordable. PaulE

Need to find some M2s or M3s to complete company. 105s w/CCKW352 prime movers are next unless you folks see something I missed. PaulE

Paul,
Looks good to me! Does this mean that you are back in WW2 mode again?

Just a brief sojourn Rick. The Mojo Rejuvenation Exercise led me to see my Armored Infantry Co. was sadly incomplete. 3rd Pltn. was under strength & the AT Pltn. was missing entirely. It also showed I had forgotten to represent the Cannon Co. of the 11th Inf. 2nd Battalion. I had 4 ROCO 105s & a couple Heiser CCKW352s in the stash so that is what is driving these two mini-projects. PaulE

Terrific work Paul. Great save with the barrel. I think the German soldier is a little out of scale so you may want to look at that:tongue-out3:

Paul that photo with the 1/35 scale figure just shows how small a scale your working in and the results that you manage are :thumb2:

Thank you gentlemen. Did a minor tidy & mislaid my decals. Will post when done with 23AI B Co.

So right Steve. I had too many things going at once and was running out of room, so I was forced to. Believe it or not they were in the container they belonged in. I've since been diligently cutting & sorting these itty-bitty decals trying to come up with twenty 7thArmored, 23rdAI and B Co. 31-35 & 41-44 bumper #s. These are white on white paper so very difficult to cut & verify. PaulE
