1/87 Tigers on the Prowl

Great idea Paul. Lots more space to fill now though. Should keep you out of trouble for a little while longer:smiling6::smiling3:

Nice buddy, I spy a nice building on the floor to the left :smiling:

Thanks Steve, indeed. Yes Dzohn, part of Tigers on the Prowl II w/Tiger IIs.

That's a lot of firepower my friend both in the air and on the ground. If this is a unit on the move, perhaps a few kubels and a motorcycle or two...
Rick H.

I wouldn't want to come up against this unit on any street Paul. :smiling2: Rick's suggestion is good.

Cheers,
Richard

Thanks for your suggestions. Most soft stuff is currently allocated to other units in storage. I should have some kubles, schwimmers & kettens nearly completed to add to this dio. Mix of JagdTigers & JagdPanthers was influenced by recent reading about late war heavy anti-tank groups. PaulE

Found these unallocated softies in the stash in various states of completion. Should be able to include some.

Working schwimmers & ketten. Ignore the 250/5 as it's C&C for an SP nebelwerfer project. PaulE

I like it too! Late war German TO&Es were pretty meaningless anyway, tattered remnants of this or that unit linking up and splitting up all the time, so the sky's the limit.

Kettens are small at the best of times but at this scale that is true miniature madness:cold-sweat:. Great stuff Paul!!

Now that the dio base is broken-in I'll revisit this. Will have to review what I have left to do on the Tigers & Jagdpanthers. PaulE

After some research decided on Heavy 501 w/mix of Tigers I & II w/supporting AAA. Prolly two short platoons of three each. Will use mid version ROCO Tiger Is w/Heiser conversion kits to late version. PaulE

Been there, done that. My first late Tiger conversion was with the old H&K kit, as the far superior Heiser kits were not available yet. Yours will turn out much better. Looking forward to seeing these under way. Rick H.

Might be a bit. My battery eating camera finally ate the last of my AAs & my laptop doesn't recognize my phone camera memory as a remote source for some reason. Will consult grandaughter for IT support. PaulE
