I realised that I hadn't shown some of my Napoleonic cabinet lurkers on this site. Some of these are getting pretty old now:

These are all Verlinden apart from the two mounted Miniart figures and the Mitches German rifleman.

Hi Peter they're all absolutely brilliant,forgive my ignorance I don't know what period is fromhe but I like the one with the green uniform with the rifle the best.
Please don't take this the wrong way but I'm very pleased you don't build tanks because I would just find a cave and curl up and go to sleep.

Very many thanks Pete. The figure you refer to is a rifleman of the King's German Legion at Waterloo. It's a Moz Corry sculpt for Mitches Military Models.

I have done quite a bit of 1/35 armour over the years, but it's all strictly out-of-the-box and no match for the talents on show here. I lost all of my photographs of it when my old computer crashed about this time last year. I'll see if Steve Jones has any pics.

I remember some of them certainly, but the 3rd photo seems a new one to me.
All painted with your signature style, I think I could recognise your work anywhere.
Can you remember when I found one on the web, wow that was great thinking I know who did that.:smiling2: Your Russian sits in the house, on a cabinet, where it frequently gets admired, while mine sit in the cave. :worried: Say no more !

Thanks very much for looking in chaps.

John - the third figure is Mikhail Kutuzov, commander of the Russian army at the time of Napoleon's 1812 venture. You should be able to empathize with him, as at one point in his life a bullet entered his head and severed the connective tissue behind his left eye. The eye consequently bulged rather alarmingly onto his cheek thereafter - something always hidden in the portraits and missing from this figure.

Photos on the other site were accessible from the web, so all of our work could crop up if you googled a particular subject. Just typing in '1/16 figure' would reveal all of my work to all and sundry.
